London after hours. A low voice. Something beneath the rhythm that will not stay quiet. In THE SIGNAL, RED reaches him. What he does next is still unwritten.

THE
SIGNAL

HOW MUCH OF YOUR LIFE
DID YOU CHOOSE?

What you see. What you want. Who you become.
How much was chosen before you arrived?

An algorithm learns what keeps you watching.

A politician tells you what to fear.

An advertisement shows you who you could become.

Where do their stories end
and your own voice begin?

THE SIGNAL is an ongoing art and music project by SONRA, exploring the forces that shape our choices, and the moments we begin to question them.

Through fictional characters, music and scenes from ordinary life, a different possibility emerges.

RED in a London passage at dusk, with commuters moving behind her and a restrained red reflection

London / RED / First signal

The first break
was a voice.

İtaat Yok.
A song on the surface.
A fault line underneath.

RED refuses the part written for her. Her refusal sets the story in motion. Jude hears it and begins to answer through his own music. Across cities, strangers interrupt their routines.

The broken circle marks an opening, not a path you have to follow.

They don’t have to silence you if they can choose what you say.

Meet RED

A pause in the pattern.

What would you choose if no one had taught you what to want?

Tokyo: a man pauses in a wet underpass while commuters keep walking, a faint red reflection on his shoe
Tokyo / 東京

He was not looking for it.
It found him.

Berlin: a woman in a black coat beside a rain-soaked tram stop, with a quiet red reflection across her coat
Berlin

Everyone saw the light.
Only she recognized it.

Not an instruction.
Not another voice to obey.

The signal doesn’t tell you what to choose. It reminds you that you can.

NOTICE THE RED.
THE REST IS YOURS.

Human directed.
AI enabled.

Our artists are virtual. Our scenes are constructed. We use AI in the creation of music and imagery, guided by human writing, selection and creative direction.

THE SIGNAL is our ongoing fiction. Humans and artificial voices, on the same side of a question: who gets to decide what we become?

AI is part of the method.
Never the complete story.
